Mark-Henry Jakobsoo

Compliance Wizard

Mark-Henry Jakobsoo is a cybersecurity specialist at RaulWalter, focused on operational security, monitoring, and the practical implementation of information security controls. He brings a strong technical foundation combined with a calm, problem-solving mindset and a clear sense of responsibility — qualities that are essential in security-critical environments.

Mark has hands-on experience in security operations gained through his work at a national critical infrastructure operator. His work has included vulnerability monitoring, deployment and configuration of cybersecurity tools, log analysis, incident investigation, and security configuration documentation. He has written detection rules (SIGMA), AppLocker policies, and developed security monitoring dashboards using the ELK stack, as well as performed threat emulation and phishing analysis.

In parallel, Mark has worked in IT user support roles, collaborating closely with different teams, handling incident triage in Jira, administering Active Directory and Azure environments, and maintaining operational documentation. This background gives him a strong understanding of how security controls interact with real-world IT operations and user workflows.

Academically, Mark is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity Technologies at Tallinn University of Technology, where he has achieved a high academic standing. His knowledge base covers E-ITS, ISO 27001, GDPR fundamentals, risk analysis, network technologies, cloud environments, infrastructure-as-code, and both Linux and Windows operating systems. He has complemented his studies with internationally recognised training, including the Google Cybersecurity Certificate and CCNA Enterprise Networking.

At RaulWalter, Mark contributes to cybersecurity projects that require precise execution, reliable monitoring, and strong alignment with standards such as E-ITS. His motivation is driven by a sense of mission, continuous self-development, and the desire to build security that works in practice — not just on paper.
